Dear Prospective Member:

Membership in the Greater Santa Barbara Lodging & Restaurant Association (GSBLRA) is open to all lodging and hospitality related businesses. Our organization plays a vital role within the Cities and County in representing the financial best interests of the Santa Barbara hospitality industry. Your membership and participation in this organization is more important than ever given the current economic uncertainty and the impact it may have on our industry. We are a non-partisan group with a strong voice in the hospitality industry, our business community and with our local government.

This past year our general meetings have featured speakers such as: 3rd District Supervisor Brooks Firestone, Chuck Smith, Manager of AAA Approved Accommodations, Jill Zachary of the SB Creeks Restoration Program, as well as our Santa Barbara City Council Candidate Forum. All of these meetings were very well attended and provided our members with information that directly impacted our industry.

Upon receipt of your membership fees, we will send you a printed membership list. Additionally, this list is available to our members on mailing labels, or diskette, at a nominal handling fee. Members also receive advance notice of our bi-monthly general meetings, special pricing for the general meeting luncheons and sponsorship opportunities.

The GSBLRA is fortunate to have a very capable and motivated board of directors, each of who gives willingly of their time. We all recognize the uniqueness of Santa Barbara and appreciate the good fortune that we have to be living in such a paradise. Our board will continue to take causes from our members, and be an advocate for those issues. I encourage you to become an active part of the hospitality community through your membership in the GSBLRA.
